Read local hero stories →Ruby is an 11 year old girl from Waitara who has bravely chosen to have her hair cut off to raise money for the Taranaki Cancer Centre. She will also be donating her hair to create a wig for another child who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
She was inspired to do this after her Poppa died in 2020, and she wants to raise money for the Cancer Centre so people don't have to travel as much for their treatment.

With the New East Wing Building, Taranaki Cancer Centre and Te Puna Wai Kātea all opening in 2025, now is the ideal time to invest as much as possible and make sure we have the best services and equipment possible. 100% of the money donated stays in the region and is used for healthcare enhancements for local people.
