Making a difference
where it matters most
Give today to be part of the solution.
Work is under way on Stage 2 of the Project Maunga upgrade of Taranaki Base Hospital. With six new departments being built, we need your support to bring the best heathcare to the region. Donate today so you can have the health outcomes you want when you need them.
DonatePROJECT MAUNGA STAGE 2
This fantastic $400 million, Government-funded project includes the construction of a New East Wing Building that will house state-of-the-art wards, providing our region with a much-needed modern healthcare facility. It is also aiming to be the first healthcare facility in New Zealand to have a five-star Greenstar certification.
However, we want to bring the best healthcare to Taranaki. Investing in healthcare will mean we can bring critical upgrades and enhancements to key hospital departments. By giving to the Taranaki Health Foundation, you can ensure we have access to incredible healthcare for the future.
That’s where you can help.
We need to raise $25 million to support facilities and services. You can set up a regular donation, or donate as a one-off. 100% of the money you donate will go to healthcare projects in Taranaki.

Other Campaigns
Since 2010, we have raised over $14 million for Taranaki healthcare. This includes $10 million for Project Maunga Stage 1 and $3.6 million for the new Angiosuite.
The Acute Services Building that was built as part of Project Maunaga Stage 1 has had over 85,000 admissions since it opened in 2013. The Angio suite has seen more than 1,800 people. That's 1,800 people who have been able to be treated locally, many with life saving care, rather than travelling to larger facilities.

Your help is essential
Unfortunately, the healthcare needs of Taranaki can’t be met by Government funding alone. In order to avoid patients having to regularly travel to Waikato or Palmerston North, additional funding is required. Your generous support helps provide extra beds and facilities, as well as ensures patients have a more comfortable stay.

By giving regular amounts, patients at both Taranaki Base Hospital and Hāwera Hospital can remain close to family and be seen by the doctors they know. It also means we can invest in state-of-the-art equipment, attracting the best medical staff and securing the future of Taranaki's healthcare.
